Success begins with a state of mind, if you want success start thinking of yourself as a success.

Greetings, My name is Jeanette C. H. Frederick , I am a licensed barber and cosmetologist with over 30 years of experience. I obtained my cosmetology Instructors license in 1996 and was grateful for the opportunity when I received a call 25 years ago to teach cosmetology where I received my training, I enjoy educating the future professionals of the industry and preparing them for the real world.    My brother DeWayne Hill Sr and I are co-owners of a barber/ stylist salon in Summerville SC which has been in business for over 30 years. I am also the salon owner of Tricholistik Hair Restoration & Wellness Studio where I service clients that are experiencing hair loss or thinning, while working behind the chair for many years I saw that there was a need to  educate myself more extensively on hair loss, after my research on the areas of study that I needed to better serve my clients I became a certified holistic hair practitioner as well as a non-surgical hair replacement specialist. I then enrolled in American Academy of Hair and Scalp Diseases for 18 months and received my Trichology Certification. I strive to be successful in my business for myself and for my clients, Educating myself is my motivation in order for me to elevate.

A Father said to his son “Be careful where you walk.

The son responded “You be careful remember that I follow in your footsteps.

My name is Dewayne Marion Hill Sr. I am a native of Summerville SC and also a 1992 graduate of Summerville High School. I have been working as a Master Barber stylist in this industry over 30 years. I always knew throughout my childhood days that I wanted to follow in my father’s (Marion Hill) footsteps as a barber. I always admired how he loved the art of barbering and even though I wasn’t old enough to enroll in Barber school my dad would always educate me on his tools and also talk about the history of barbering in which I thought was so fascinating. I can remember  during my  preteen days I would go to work with my dad on Saturdays and I got to see him in action honing the razor, listening to barber shop talk ,watching his shaving and haircutting techniques, and he also had a few students training under him due to he had his OJT(on the job training license) My Father was a Barber instructor as well as a Cosmetology Instructor so watching him in action giving constructive criticism to his barbers as well as his trainees I had no doubt that I would be taught by the best ,my interest of becoming a barber became even stronger, fast forward to my junior year In High School I  enrolled in evening classes at  LaParisienne Cosmetology Institute in Charleston SC. My father was an instructor there, as well as one of the co-owners of the Cosmetology institute, I was so excited because I was finally able to start my journey to become a barber and what better way to learn than to be taught by my father. By the time I was a senior in high school, I received my Master Hair care specialist License and I was also the youngest licensed barber in Summerville SC at the time. I am very proud to say that I am carrying out my father’s legacy of over 30 years, I am the co-owner of Marion’s Barber and Hairstyling Center located in Summerville SC.
